About Scott
From feeling frustrated, stuck, and like nothing was working…
to helping others make sense of it for themselves.
There was a point where it felt like the harder I worked, the more things stopped working.
I was burnt out, frustrated, and stuck — like nothing in my life was actually in my control anymore. All I wanted was a bit of a hand up… not a handout, just something to help me get my footing again.
I remember thinking, “There’s something going on here — and I need help to figure it out.”
But when I went looking for that help, it didn’t feel right.
I tried counselling, but it felt like I was being told what was wrong with me… rather than being guided to understand it for myself.
It wasn’t until I started exploring spiritual healing — something more intuitive and deeper — that things began to shift. For the first time, I wasn’t being “fixed”… I was actually starting to see what was going on inside me.
After that point, I started to see that it hadn’t just come out of nowhere.
For years, I’d been working hard — first as an electrician, then in dairy farming. From the outside, it probably looked like things were going well.
We had a solid job, then stepped into what looked like an even better opportunity — more money, more responsibility, more control.
It was meant to be a step up.
But it didn’t feel like that.
From the first day, something felt off.
The control, the way things were done, the constant second-guessing — it slowly chipped away at my confidence.
It got to the point where nothing felt good enough, and I started questioning my own decisions.
Looking back, there were red flags early on… but at the time, what it looked like on paper was enough to overlook them.
And the hardest part was realising this wasn’t the first time.
It was a pattern.
“For the first time, I could actually see the pattern instead of being stuck in it.”
Different job, same feeling — stuck, frustrated, and wondering what I was doing wrong.
At the same time, life at home was taking a hit.
We were always on — pushing, working, getting through — even numbing it at times just to keep going.
But there was no real space to stop.
Even when we were home, we were exhausted.
The kids were growing up, doing their thing, and we were there… but not really there.
That hit me.
Because I realised we weren’t actually enjoying the life we were working so hard to build.
And underneath all of it, there was this constant drive to keep other people happy — whether that was farm owners, expectations, or just trying to get things right.
But somewhere along the way, I’d lost connection with what I actually wanted.
The turning point came when I finally realised I couldn’t keep doing it on my own.
And honestly — reaching out for help was the hardest part.
Making that call, saying “I need help”… that was the part I resisted the most.
But it was also the moment things started to change.
What Changed
Reaching out for help was the hardest part… but it was also where things started to shift.
The first thing I tried was seeing a counsellor, and straight away I knew this wasn’t for me. I needed something else, that’s when I tried Reiki.
I remember one session in particular — it felt like a sledgehammer hit me right in the chest. Not physically, but something shifted deeply.
And that was the moment I realised…
This wasn’t something I was going to think my way out of.
There was something deeper going on that needed to be felt, not just figured out.
What I noticed was that things were changing — not just in my thoughts, but inside me.
I had space.
For the first time, I could step back and observe what was going on, instead of being caught up in it.
And that’s when something really clicked.
I started to see that the mind wasn’t actually in control.
There were parts of me driving my reactions, my behaviours, the way I responded to things — and I’d never really seen that before.
Instead of trying to fix it, I started to understand it.
And more importantly, I started to see it for myself — not being told what was wrong, but actually recognising it from within.
And that changed everything.
As I kept going, I realised that the help I had been looking for was actually hard to find.
I wanted something that could work with what I was seeing and experiencing — something that made sense of the patterns, not just the symptoms.
So I started learning how to do it for myself.
Over time, I began to recognise those same patterns in others.
I could see the wounded parts — the trauma people were carrying — and also the protective parts that sit around them.
The parts that react, shut down, overthink, or try to keep everything under control.
And I had to shift out of trying to fix people — into simply helping them see clearly what was going on.
Helping them recognise it for themselves.
Because that’s where real change happens.
Along the way, I also discovered tools like Human Design, which helped me understand my own natural way of working — and why this approach felt so aligned.
What I came to realise is that the problems I was facing were never going to be solved just by working with the mind.
The mind still has a role — it helps make sense of things.
But real change happens when you look at what’s underneath.
Not just the symptoms… but the root of what’s actually going on.
And that was exactly what I had been searching for all along.
“I walked in feeling overwhelmed and left feeling calm and clear.”
So what’s it actually like to work with me?
We start with a conversation.
I’ll usually look at your Human Design chart, which gives me a quick sense of where things might be out of alignment. From there, we talk about what’s going on in your life — what’s been coming up, what you’ve been feeling, and where you feel stuck.
I ask a lot of questions.
Not to dig into your whole past… but to understand what’s happening for you right now.
As we talk, I’ll pick up on patterns — and also what you might be avoiding.
From there, we start to follow what’s coming up in your body.
The sensations, the reactions, the parts of you that show up in certain situations.
That’s where the real work happens.
Sometimes things will come up that don’t fully make sense in the moment — but a part of you will recognise it.
Because we’re not just working at the level of your thinking — we’re working with what’s happening underneath that.
It’s not about me telling you what’s wrong or what you should do.
It’s about helping you see what’s actually going on — and recognise it for yourself.
Because once you can see it clearly, things start to shift naturally.
By the end of a session, most people feel completely different.
More relaxed. More aware. More like themselves.
There’s usually a sense of clarity — like you can finally see the thread of what’s been happening, instead of feeling caught in it.
From there, the next steps become clearer.
Not because I’ve told you what to do — but because you can feel it for yourself.
What I tend to notice quickly
One of the things people often say is how quickly things come into focus.
I tend to pick up on patterns and trauma responses pretty fast — the wounded parts, and the protective parts around them.
Even in the first session, there’s often a sense of:
“Yeah… that actually makes sense.”
This work is for you if…
You feel stuck, overwhelmed, or blocked
You’ve tried to think your way through things but keep going in circles
You’re open to looking at what’s underneath the surface
You’re ready to understand what’s actually going on — not just manage it
This work isn’t for you if…
You feel like you’re broken and need someone to fix you
You’re looking for a quick answer without exploring what’s underneath
You’re not open to looking at what’s coming up for you
Because I’m not here to fix you.
You’re not broken.
“I wasn’t being told what was wrong — I was actually seeing it for myself.”
A Bit About Me
Outside of this work, my life is a mix of both worlds.
I still hold my electrical ticket and run The Handy Barn, so I split my time between practical, hands-on work and the deeper work I do with clients here.
I’ve found I really enjoy that balance — being able to fix things physically during the day, while also helping people work through what’s going on underneath.
At home, life is pretty simple.
I’ve been with Melissa since 2001, and we’ve got two girls who are both studying and still living at home. Family is a big part of life, even if it’s just being around each other day to day.
When I’m not working, I enjoy getting out for a ride — especially road cycling, whether that’s a coffee group ride or just heading out on my own.
I’m also big on personal development — reading, learning, and going deeper into understanding how we think, feel, and experience life.
And like most people, I also just enjoy switching off — watching a movie or relaxing at home.
At the end of the day, I’m someone who values both connection and space.
Time with people, and time to myself.
“There’s no absolute right or wrong.”
It’s the meaning we give things — our perception — that shapes how we experience them.

Sessions with Melissa
Through Emotion Code, Body Code, and Belief Code sessions, I gently communicate with the subconscious mind to identify and release trapped emotions, subconscious beliefs, and patterns the body may still be holding, influencing how we feel, react, and experience life physically, emotionally, and behaviourally.
