Men’s Group: Getting Back to Your Body

A lot of men spend most of their time in their head.

Thinking, planning, fixing, worrying, working things out, trying to stay on top of everything, and keeping life moving.

But after a while, we can get disconnected from what is happening in the body. We might not notice how tense we are, how shallow our breathing has become, how tight our shoulders feel, or how much pressure we have been carrying until something starts to give way.

This men’s group is not about exercise, fitness, stretching, or doing a workout.

It is about slowing down, grounding yourself, and learning to notice what your body is already trying to tell you.

For some men, stress shows up as tight shoulders, a stiff neck, a clenched jaw, a heavy chest, a restless body, or feeling like they cannot properly switch off. For others, it might show up as feeling flat, shut down, scattered, or like their head is running faster than the rest of them.

When we are stuck in our head, we often try to think our way through everything. But sometimes what we actually need is to come back down into the body, feel our feet on the ground, breathe properly again, and give the nervous system a chance to settle.

This night is about reconnecting with your body in a grounded and practical way. We will look at where men often hold pressure, how the body can show us what is going on underneath, and how simple awareness can help us come back to ourselves when life feels tense, busy, or overwhelming.

There is no pressure to share. You are welcome to come along, listen, and take what lands.

About the Men’s Group

The Healing Barn Men’s Group is a relaxed and grounded space for men to have honest conversations about life, pressure, relationships, emotions, purpose, direction, and the things we often keep to ourselves.

It is not therapy, and there is no pressure to share. Each night has a topic, practical reflection, and space for conversation.

You are welcome to come along, listen, and take what lands.
